POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS FILM WHICH STRESSES THE NEED TO DEVELOP PROPER PLANNING PROCEDURES FOR THE BOMB THREAT/INCIDENT PROBLEM.
Abstract
THE TOPICS CONSIDERED INCLUDE HANDLING OF THE TELEPHONE CALL, SEARCH PROCEDURES, AND EMPLOYEE EVACUATION. EMPHASIZED IS THE NEED TO GET AS MUCH VITAL INFORMATION FROM THE CALLER AS POSSIBLE, SUCH AS WHERE AND WHY THE BOMB WAS PLANTED AND WHEN IT IS SCHEDULED TO GO OFF. ALSO STRESSED IS THE IMPORTANCE OF 'KEEPING COOL' AND OF NOT HANDLING ANY SUSPICIOUS PACKAGES OR SUSPECTED BOMBS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
