THE USE OF EXPLOSIVES TO ENTER PREMISES AND TO OPEN SECURITY CONTAINERS SUCH AS SAFES IS FIRST REVIEWED. SUCH TECHNIQUES OF DETECTION AS CHEMICAL ANALYSIS, COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS, AND EFFECTS ANALYSIS ARE DESCRIBED, AND THE ADVANTAGES OF EACH ARE CONSIDERED. FINALLY, A BRIEF DISCUSSION OF EVIDENCE PRESENTATION IN CASES IN WHICH EXPLOSIVES WERE EMPLOYED IS PROVIDED.
