Abstract
DATA AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE PROVIDED ON THE YOUTH POPULATION AND THE ROLE OF THE SCHOOLS, PROBATION PRACTICES, AN EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM, AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES, INCLUDING A LISTING OF AGENCIES AND SERVICES AVAILABLE. CHARTS PRESENT STATISTICS ON SUCH ITEMS AS THE DISPOSITION OF DELINQUENCY AND DEPENDENCY CASES, THE AGE, RACE, AND SEX OF THE PROBATION POPULATION IN BROWARD COUNTY, AND MANPOWER AND SPACE REQUIREMENTS. THE APPENDIXES CONTAIN A CHART OF CONSULTANT ASSIGNMENTS, A GRAPHIC PROGRESS REPORT, DATA ON DETENTION ENROLLMENT BY COMMUNITY, REFERRALS TO JUVENILE COURT, AND DISPOSITION OF CASES.
