Graphic and tabular data profile the characteristics and losses of personal and business victims of offenders with determinate sentences admitted to California prisons from February 1, 1979, through December 31, 1982.
Abstract
The sample of 49,954 offenders victimized 86,739 persons and 33,823 businesses. For each category (personal and business victims, injury, and financial loss), the report presents data on ethnicity, victim-offender relationship, and extent of injury or loss. Information is also provided on restitution involved in personal victimizations. Narrative summaries of data precede each data category.
