The California Community Crime Resistance Program was not effective in reducing the number of reported residential burglaries.
Abstract
However, households participating in Neighborhood Watch and other similar programs were satisfied with the program's knowledgeable staff and the available information. The report discusses the background and development of the program, impact of project efforts, contractual objectives and accomplishments, and technical assistance. It offers recommendations to improve the program. Tables are included. Appendixes give project site reports, legislation, task force roster, evaluation data sheets, and survey instruments.
