Abstract
IN THE AREA OF CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS THE RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DETAILED METHODS AND PROCEDURES FOR COORDINATING ORGANIZATIONAL ELEMENTS OF COLLECTION, DATA PROCESSING, AND ANALYSIS. THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGIONAL INTELLIGENCE UNITS IS RECOMMENDED, AND A POLICE CHIEF'S SYMPOSIUM ON THE VALUE OF INTELLIGENCE IS SUGGESTED. OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDE THE ADDITION OF RESEARCH STAFF AND INTELLIGENCE ANALYSTS AND THE CREATION OF A LIBRARY AND AN ENCYCLOPEDIA OR ORGANIZED CRIME.
