This report tabulates figures for the number of California felon parolees supervised in December 1992.
Abstract
As of December 31, there were 80,815 felons receiving parole supervision in California, an increase of 3,695 from the previous year. The felon parole population was 90.5 percent male and consisted of 32 percent property offenders, 32.5 percent drug offenders, 25.5 percent violent offenders, and 10 percent offenders with other convictions. Hispanics comprised the largest ethnic group among California parolees. Nearly half the felon parolees were between the ages of 25 and 34 years. 4 tables
