THIS ANNUAL REPORT DESCRIBES THE SUBCOMMITTEE'S RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATIVE ACTIVITIES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: POLITICAL KIDNAPPINGS AND ASSASSINATIONS, BOMBINGS, SCHOOL VIOLENCE, AND REVOLUTIONARY GROUP ACTIVITIES.
Abstract
VIOLENT GROUPS OPERATING BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE CALIFORNIA'S CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS, SUCH AS THE MEXICAN MAFIA AND NUESTRA FAMILIA, ARE ALSO COVERED. INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT ARE A SUMMARY AND STATUS REPORT ON THE SUBCOMMITTEE'S 1973 LEGISLATIVE PACKAGES IN THE AREAS OF CAMPUS VIOLENCE AND AIR PIRACY. A STATISTICAL UPDATE ON CAMPUS VIOLENCE, CIVIL DISORDERS, AIR PIRACY AND BOMBING INCIDENTS IS ALSO PRESENTED AND ANALYZED. IN ADDITION, A REPORT IS PRESENTED ON THE CALIFORNIA MILITARY DEPARTMENT'S SPECIALIZED TRAINING INSTITUTE AND ITS CIVIL DISORDER MANAGEMENT COURSE AT CAMP SAN LUIS OBISPO IN SAN LUIS OBISPO. APPENDED MATERIALS INCLUDE STATISTICS ON HIJACKING, BOMBINGS AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL CRIME; A STATISTICAL SUMMARY OF INCIDENTS IN STATE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS, 1965-1973, AND NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS.
