A COLLECTION OF QUESTIONNAIRES, INTERVIEW SCHEDULES, DESCRIPTIVE INSTRUMENTS, EVALUATIVE INSTRUMENTS AND PROJECT FORMS USED FOR YOUNGSTERS AND GROUP HOME PARENTS IN THIS CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY-BASED CORRECTIONS PROJECT.
Abstract
THE GROUP HOME PROJECT (DIFFERENTIAL TREATMENT ENVIRONMENTS FOR DELINQUENTS PROJECT) WAS DESIGNED TO TEST THE FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING FIVE DIFFERENT TYPES OF GROUP HOMES, TO DEVELOP A TAXONOMY OF GROUP HOME ENVIRONMENTS, AND TO ASSESS THE IMPACT OF THESE HOMES ON YOUTH. EACH TYPE OF HOME WAS TO REPRESENT AN ENVIRONMENT SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR THE NEEDS OF CERTAIN TYPES OF DELINQUENTS. THE FORMS PRESENTED IN THIS DOCUMENT WERE USED TO SELECT APPROPRIATE GROUP HOME PARENTS, TO MATCH YOUTHS AND GROUP HOME PARENTS, TO MEASURE ATTITUDES AND ATTITUDE CHANGES OVER TIME, AND TO GATHER BASELINE DATA. INSTRUMENTS USED INCLUDE A CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUNGSTERS QUESTIONNAIRE, A FOSTER PARENT PREFERENCE SURVEY, A DESCRIPTIONS OF TREATMENT PERSONNEL INVENTORY, A PRE-HIRING INTERVIEW GUIDE, A FOLLOW-UP GROUP HOME PARENT INTERVIEW SCHEDULE, A PARENTAL ATTITUDE RESEARCH INSTRUMENT, AND A YOUNGSTER BEHAVIOR INVENTORY. SCREENING, PLACEMENT, ATTENDANCE AND COST-ACCOUNTING FORMS ARE ALSO INCLUDED.
