The report illustrates that a high number of services have been delivered to victims of and witnesses to serious crimes. Both the number and types of services delivered through the program have been consistent with the program's goals. These goals are to reduce trauma suffered by crime victims and to assist local criminal justice agencies in reducing the negative impact often felt by witnesses in criminal proceedings. Information on staff training and on the evaluation model is included. Appendixes include descriptions of program activities in 34 counties, relevant statutes, the names of evaluation staff, program standards and forms, and a list of program sites. Data tables are provided.
