Abstract
THE AUTHOR CONCLUDES THAT STATIC POLICE PRESENCE HAS A GREATER IMPACT ON DRIVER BEHAVIOR THAN A MOBILE PATROL. BY MAXIMIZING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MANPOWER, IT IS POSSIBLE TO MINIMIZE THE COST OF AN INCREASE IN POLICE ACTIVITY AND PROVIDE BENEFITS IN THE ROAD TRAFFIC FIELD. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
