The National Center for Juvenile Justice, as a division of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, is dedicated to quality research in the area of juvenile justice and the enhancement of judicial procedures designed to handle youth.
Abstract
Some of the current projects in which the Center is engaged include juvenile justice statistics and systems development, national juvenile court data archives, technical assistance to juvenile courts, an automated juvenile law archive, and projects dealing with the integration of child and family legal proceedings, substance abuse screening protocols, and community intensive supervision. This report also describes completed projects including, inter alia, a model curriculum for entry-level juvenile probation officers, court facilities programs, design guidelines for juvenile and family court facilities, and integrated management information systems. The Center publishes statistical reports, data resources, technical assistance reports, statutes analyses, and annual journals. This report includes brief resumes of staff members and members of the Board of Fellows.
