In many ways, incest victims have been further victimized, and in some of those ways, they have been victimized by the very helping professionals who would assist them.
Abstract
One of the most insidious ways in which this is done is through a sexual encounter between the incest patient and the therapist. Three such encounters and their impacts on the patients and their therapeutic progress are discussed in this paper. Also, a helping professional who initiated such an encounter is interviewed. Recommendations for prevention are discussed. (Author abstract)
