Abstract
This student handout teaches operating procedures for any cell/tier extraction involving the calculated use of force to remove the inmate from the area as soon as possible, in a controlled manner while utilizing the least amount of force necessary. Topics include: a definition of cell extraction; the necessary minimum equipment requirements; how to identify hazards; the camera operators responsibilities; the responsibilities of the Team Leader; the responsibility of the Shield Position; and the responsibilities and positioning of the five other participating Team Members.
