Abstract
FIRST OF ITS KIND IN THE NATION, THE MUSKEGON CENTRAL POLICE DISPATCH AGENCY BEGAN OPERATION EARLY IN 1970. THE ARTICLE DISCUSSES JURISDICTIONAL AND INFORMATION EXCHANGE ARRANGEMENTS, COORDINATION BETWEEN POLICE AGENCIES AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATORS, RIVALRY BETWEEN JURISDICTIONS, PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR PROPER USE OF 911, AND COST FACTORS.
