A high school teacher rehabilitates a gang leader who bullies other students and makes them pay 'protection money.'
Abstract
The gang leader appears to be immune to normal school disciplinary measures. He instigates the gang to commit vandalism in the school, to beat up students who do not pay 'protection money,' and generally to bully the students. After examining the gang leader's past school record, the teacher begins a campaign to turn him around and reintegrate him into normal school activities. After several fruitless and dangerous attempts, the teacher succeeds through an appeal to the youth's basic love of music.
