THIS EVALUATION OF THE CANRIS INFORMATION SYSTEM IS BASED ON THE COMPLIANCE OF THE SYSTEM WITH THE INTENT OF ITS ENABLING LEGISLATION, I.E., COMPLETE AND UNIFORM RECORDS, AND COOPERATION WITH LOCAL AND STATE AGENCIES.
Abstract
THE EVALUATION FOUND THAT CANRIS IS IN PARTIAL COMPLIANCE WITH ITS LEGAL MANDATE AND STATED PURPOSES. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE TO BRING THE SYSTEM INTO FULL COMPLIANCE. THEY INCLUDE THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICIES FOR INTERSTATE COOPERATION, THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PLAN TO MAKE LOCAL AGENCIES AWARE OF THE CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT INCIDENT REGISTRY, THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING PROGRAMS ON OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS OF ABUSE, NEGLECT, ON THE REGISTRATION OF ALL REPORTS AND ON UPDATING THE REGISTRATION FORM.
