Abstract
ILLINOIS, NEW YORK, COLORADO, PENNSYLVANIA, WISCONSIN, NEW JERSEY, INDIANA, AND MISSOURI ARE THE STATES EXAMINED REGARDING THE FORMATION AND OPERATION OF THEIR CHILDREN'S COURT SYSTEMS IN THE EARLY 1900'S. WITHIN EACH OF THE STATES, THE JUVENILE COURT SYSTEMS OF SPECIFIC LARGE CITIES ARE EXAMINED. THE APPENDIX INCLUDES A STATEMENT OF THE JUVENILE COURT LAWS FROM A NUMBER OF STATES, ALONG WITH BRIEF NOTES ON THE STATUS OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEMS IN SOME STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
