Abstract
SOME OF THE TOPICS COVERED ARE STRATEGIES IN THE CITIES TO COMBAT DELINQUENCY, THE YOUTH SERVICE BUREAS, AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE VENTURA SCHOOL'S VOLUNTEER PROGRAM. AN ACCOUNT IS GIVEN OF THE AIMS AND PROGRESS OF THE COMMUNITY TREATMENT PROJECT'S NEW RESIDENTIAL COMPONENT, DORM 3. PROJECT ACORN, A RURAL COMMUNITY EFFORT FOR ATTACKING DELINQUENCY WHERE THE PAROLE AGENT HAS A LARGE DIFFICULT-TO-REACH CASELOAD, IS DESCRIBED. OTHER PROGRAMS DESCRIBED ARE THE INTER-RACIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE, WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED TO HANDLE RACIAL PROBLEMS IN THE ALAMEDA COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT AND THE COEDUCATIONAL PROGRAM OF THE VENTURA SCHOOL.
