PROGRESS IN THE ASSESSMENT OF ACCOMPLISHMENT OF SELECTED CALIFORNIA YOUTH SERVICES BUREAU PROJECTS WITH THE FINAL PROPOSED METHODOLOGY AND THE EVALUATORS' EXPECTATIONS CONCERNING THE COMPARABILITY AND RELEVANCY OF DATA.
Abstract
THE PROJECTS TO BE EVALUATED ARE THE YOLO YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU, THE RICHMOND INTERVENTION AND OUTREACH UNITS, THE ALAMEDA COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT DELINQUENCY PREVENTION PROGRAM, AND THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY 601 DIVERSION PROJECT. THE EVALUATORS ARE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY AND QUALITY OF DATA. THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT GOALS HAVE BEEN CONSOLIDATED AND IDENTIFIED FOR EVALUATION PURPOSES AS THE REDUCTION OF THE SUBSEQUENT INCIDENCE AND THE SEVERITY OF DELINQUENT OFFENSES COMMITTED BY THE TREATMENT POPULATION. AN ILLUSTRATION OF THE TYPE OF DATA OUTPUT IS PRESENTED. FOR A PREVIOUS STATUS REPORT ON THIS SAME EVALUATION, REFER TO NCJ-15577.
