STUDY OF PATTERNS OF COGNITIVE DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN SELF-CONCEPT AND PERCEPTION OF PARENTAL ATTITUDES TOWARD HIMSELF CONDUCTED AMONG GROUPS OF ISRAELI DELINQUENT, PREDELINQUENT, AND NONDELINQUENT YOUTHS.
Abstract
A SELF-CONCEPT INVENTORY WAS ADMINISTERED TO 36 INSTITUTIONALIZED DELINQUENTS, 25 BOYS EXHIBITING PREDELINQUENT TENDENCIES, AND 29 NONDELINQUENT SUBJECTS. THE HYPOTHESES THAT DELINQUENT SUBJECTS WOULD SHARPLY DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE SELF CONCEPT AND PERCEPTION OF PARENTAL ATTITUDES WHEN COMPARED TO NONDELINQUENT SUBJECTS AND THAT PATTERNS OF COGNITIVE DIFFERENTIATION OF PREDELINQUENTS WOULD BE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF INSTITUTIONALIZED DELINQUENTS AND SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT FROM THOSE OF NONDELINQUENTS WERE SUPPORTED. --IN HEBREW.
