One benchmark in drug education guide is The National Drug Education Committee's principles. This paper scrutinizes a range of drug education programs using these principles.
Abstract
In general, there is a very low degree of observance of these principles and differentially. One popular approach shows lower observance when it is compared with a range of other program types. All programs show a level of curriculum integration that is far from optimal, and there is a general lack of resourcing and consultation in the program design. The paper discusses implications for funding, authorities, curriculum developers, and service organizations. 2 tables, 9 references. (Author abstract modified)
