A YUGOSLAV LAW PROFESSOR COMMENTS ON HIS NATION'S PRETRIAL POLICE PROCEDURES AND JUDICIAL INVESTIGATIONS.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR EXAMINES SIGNIFICANT INNOVATIONS WHICH WERE INTRODUCED INTO THE YUGOSLAV CRIMINAL CODE IN 1967. FOR EXAMPLE, CONFESSIONS MADE TO THE POLICE CANNOT BE ADMITTED AS EVIDENCE AGAINST THE ACCUSED. YUGOSLAV PROCEDURES ARE COMPARED TO THOSE IN OTHER CIVIL LAW COUNTRIES AND TO THOSE IN THE UNITED STATES.
