THIS REPORT COMPARES RECENTLY COMPILED DATA ON BLACK SEX OFFENDERS WITH A PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED STUDY ON WHITE MALE SEX OFFENDERS.
Abstract
COMPARISONS ARE MADE IN THE AREAS OF DEMOGRAPHY, EARLY LIFE, MASTURBATION, ORGASMS IN SLEEP, PREMARITAL PETTING, PREMARITAL COITUS, HOMOSEXUAL BEHAVIOR, AND CIRCUMSTANCES OF OFFENSES. THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE BLACK AND THE WHITE GROUPS COMPRISING THIS STUDY PRIMARILY REFLECTED THE TRAITS OF THE BLACK SUBCULTURE AND THE GREATER SOCIOCULTURAL DEPRIVATION SUFFERED BY THE BLACKS. THE UNIFORMITIES BETWEEN THE BLACK AND WHITE GROUPS CONFIRM OUR EARLIER FINDINGS THAT GROUPS OF INDIVIDUALS CONVICTED FOR SPECIFIC SEX OFFENSES DIFFER MATERIALLY FROM ONE ANOTHER AND FROM THE CONTROL AND PRISON GROUPS IN VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THEIR BACKGROUNDS AND SEXUAL BEHAVIOR, AND MANY OF THESE SEX OFFENDER GROUP TRAITS OCCUR IN THE BLACKS AS WELL AS THE WHITES.
