This bibliography of computer law and software protection contains 3,000 entries from books, periodicals, technical reports, legal cases, panels, symposia, and a wide array of U.S. government documents.
Abstract
The entries cover materials published from mid-1984 through 1992, making it a continuation or chronological companion volume of "Computer Crime, Abuse, Liability, and Security: A Comprehensive Bibliography, 1970-1984." Topical coverage includes literature on computer crime, abuse, liability, security, and other issues of direct relevance, such as privacy patents, copyright, and antitrust and trade practices. Subject matter ranges from the general to the specific, from law and legislation in general to the Semiconductor Chip Protection Extension Act of 1987; from banks and banking to electronic fund transfers. Relative but separate issues, such as admissibility of computer- generated evidence, are included only if the discussion is based on direct relevance to a computer crime topic. The book contains four sections: a bibliography of books, a bibliography of articles, a coauthor index, and a subject index. The subject index contains approximately 400 terms by which both books and articles are indexed. Access to the listings are by author through the alphabetical arrangements in the books and articles sections, by author through the coauthor index, and by subject through the subject index.
