Abstract
IT IS STATED THAT THE ADVANCES IN COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY ARE RAPIDLY BRINGING TO MEDIUM AND SMALL SOCIETIES THE CAPABILITIES WHICH FORMERLY WERE WITHIN REACH OF ONLY THE LARGEST. THE VARIOUS COMPUTER USES DISCUSSED IN THIS ARTICLE INCLUDE MAINTENANCE OF MEMBERSHIP RECORDS, EMPLOYEE RECORDS AND PAYROLL, ACCOUNTING, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, DATA ANALYSIS, AND INFORMATION CLEARINGHOUSES. ISSUES TO CONSIDER WHEN DECIDING WHETHER OR NOT TO EMPLOY COMPUTERS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED.
