THIS TRAINING GUIDE IS A COMPENDIUM OF THE GOALS, OBJECTIVES, REQUIREMENTS, AND RESULTS OF THE CHILDREN IN PLACEMENT (CIP), A CASE MONITORING SYSTEM TO HELP COURTS KNOW WHERE FOSTER CHILDREN ARE AND WHY.
Abstract
THE GUIDE DELINEATES THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL INVOLVED IN CIP, FROM THE JUDGE TO THE INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER, AND PROVIDES GUIDANCE ON THE QUALIFICATIONS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THOSE ROLES. SEPARATE SECTIONS ARE DEVOTED TO INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY; ROLE OF THE JUDGE; ROLE OF THE PROJECT COORDINATOR; ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEER; NARRATIVE REPORT, PHASE 1 COURTS; AND REPORT ON PHASE 1 RESEARCH. APPENDIXES TO THE GUIDE PROVIDE AUXILLIARY MATERIALS AND BIBLIOGRAPHIES. SUPPLEMENTING THE PRINTED MATERIAL IS A 4-PART AUDIOVISUAL TRAINING KIT, CONSISTING OF A 30-MINUTE SLIDE PRESENTATION FOR VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT AND COMUNITY EDUCATION, AND 3 VIDEO TAPES FOR EDUCATING JUDGES, PROJECT COORDINATORS, AND VOLUNTEERS.
