Traditionally public school curricula have treated conflict not as an opportunity for skill development but as a body of knowledge.
Abstract
Programs featuring mediation, cooperative learning, and cross-cultural communication have increasingly become more common. However, conflict resolution (CR) curricula should be designed to carefully consider purpose, audience, and outcomes. Guidelines for writing and implementing CR curricula are offered along with a framework for reflection and a directory of 22 programs is included. 25 references. (Author abstract modified)
