TO IMPROVE THIS SITUATION, THE AUTHOR RECOMMENDS THAT A NATIONAL SYSTEM BE ESTABLISHED TO COORDINATE INFORMATION AND RESEARCH ON DELINQUENCY, AND THAT GREATER ATTENTION BE PAID TO PREVENTIVE AND REHABILITATIVE EFFORTS BY COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS. A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF CORRECTIONAL MODELS, INCLUDING PROBATION, INCARCERATION, TREATMENT OFFENDER MATCHING, GROUP THERAPY, AND LEARNING THEORY PROGRAMS, REVEALED THAT PROBATION WAS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MEANS OF REDUCING JUVENILE RECIDIVISM. A DETAILED BIBLIOGRAPHY IS PROVIDED ON JUVENILE CORRECTIONS
