Abstract
EACH CHAPTER WAS WRITTEN ESPECIALLY FOR THIS BOOK AND DISCUSSES APPROPRIATE METHODS OF TREATMENT BASED ON THE AUTHOR'S EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE. EIGHTEEN PROMINENT CORRECTIONAL AUTHORITIES, WITH MULTIDISCIPLINARY BACKGROUNDS, PRESENT THEIR GUIDELINES FOR SPECIFIC TYPES OF THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES. EACH CHAPTER PRESENTS STEP-BY-STEP COMPONENTS NECESSARY FOR IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVE CORRECTIONAL PROGRAMS. THE PROGRAMS DISCUSSED INCLUDE CONTRACT PAROLE AND EDUCATIONAL VOUCHERS, PLANS FOR INTAKE SERVICE CENTERS AND COMMUNITY CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES, AND PRE-SERVICE AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING GUIDELINES.
