THE INVESTIGATIVE AND COMMUNITY SUPERVISION SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE MONROE COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT ARE DESCRIBED. A SECTION ABOUT THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICES PROVIDES THE READER WITH AN OVERVIEW OF THE STATE SYSTEM AS A WHOLE AND ITS RELATION TO MONROE COUNTY. THE FINAL PART OF THIS INFORMATION PAPER IS ABOUT COMMUNITY AGENCIES IN THE LOCAL CORRECTIONS PROCESS.
