THE ORGANIZATION OF THE FBI IS DESCRIBED AND ITS JURISDICTION IS SPECIFIED. THE AGENCY'S COOPERATIVE INFORMATION SERVICES AND LABORATORY CAPABILITIES ARE IDENTIFIED. INSTRUCTIONS FOR COLLECTING AND PRESERVING EVIDENCE ARE INCLUDED AS ARE SAMPLE FORMS AND LETTERS EXEMPLIFYING EFFICIENT AND ACCURATE COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND FBI DIVISIONS.
