Intended as a guide to the literature in criminology, this bibliography lists 1,879 annotated citations, with emphasis on documents published since 1975.
Abstract
The citations are grouped into 17 literature categories and three sections listing basic sources and special guides. The literature categories include bibliographies and general references, the social reactions to crime, economic impacts of crime, victims and victimology, law enforcement, courts and sentencing, issues related to crime and criminality, gun control, violent crimes, property crimes, several specific types of crimes, and criminal causation. Books, journal articles, government publications, and other documents are included. Basic criminological sources, selected periodical literature relating to criminal investigation, and a list of organizations doing criminological research are also listed. An author index is supplied.
