HE ANALYZES THEORIES OF SENTENCING AS THEY APPLY TO YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS. IN HIS REVIEW OF THE ADULT SENTENCING PROCESS, THE AUTHOR FOCUSES ON PRISON SENTENCES AS WELL AS THE CONVICT'S LOST STATUS AND READJUSTMENT, PROBATION AND PAROLE LAWS, PRESENTENCE REPORTS, AND DUE PROCESS OF LAW, AS APPLIED TO POST CONVICTION PROCEDURES.
