This annual report was compiled by the Maryland State Police using data obtained from the State's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. The report provides detailed statistics on crime incidents for crime index offenses, clearance rates, arrests, law enforcement officers killed and assaulted, and law enforcement employee data. Maryland's UCR program also collects data on domestic violence, hate bias, and carjacking incidents and arrests. Limitations of the State's UCR program are discussed. Tables and figures
