The Crime Victimization Survey (CVS) software is a computer program for use by government agency researchers to help them conduct crime surveys, and this manual describes how to use the CVS software.
Abstract
The manual presents an overview of the CVS software and offers a quick tour of the CVS main screen and also identifies types of CVS users (administrators, interviewers, and survey designers). In addition, the manual provides useful information about how the CVS software works, describes key features, and includes step-by-step instructions for completing specific tasks. The manual is organized in three sections: (1) Administering the CVS Software; (2) Conducting Surveys; and (3) Editing Surveys. Supplemental information on the use of the CVS software in conducting victimization surveys is appended. Illustrations
