A DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVELOPING POLICE INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM IN GREAT BRITAIN.
Abstract
IN THE LATE 1960'S MOST POLICE FORCES IN BRITAIN INTRODUCED SOME FORM OF INTELLIGENCE UNIT IN THEIR DEPARTMENTS. IN ADDITION, REGIONAL INTELLIGENCE BUREAUS WERE ESTABLISHED. THE PERSONNEL NECESSARY FOR THESE UNITS AND TYPES OF INTELLIGENCE FILES MANTAINED AT THE REGIONAL LEVEL ARE OUTLINED. THE CRIME INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT IN NEW SCOTLAND YARD AND THE UTILITY OF CRIME INTELLIGENCE CONFERENCES ARE ALSO DISCUSSED....DMC
