INTELLIGENCE SQUAD OFFICERS, IN ORDER TO BE MOST EFFECTIVE AND TO ACHIEVE THE MOST JOB SATISFACTION, NEED TO BE RESOCIALIZED TO RECEIVE GRATIFICATION FROM A GOOD INTELLIGENCE INVESTIGATION, NOT JUST FROM MANY ARRESTS.
Abstract
INTRADEPARTMENTAL COOPERATION, NOT COMPETITION, IS REQUISITE TO PRODUCTIVE INTELLIGENCE GENERATION. INTELLIGENCE UNIT MORALE IS HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON JOB PERFORMANCE EVALUATION MEASURES AND IF THE SQUAD IS REALLY INTELLIGENCE ORIENTED, THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS WILL BE AND SHOULD BE SMALL. POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM UNITS WHOSE MAJOR PREOCCUPATION IS APPREHENSION IS DESIREABLE TO MAINTAIN HIGH MORALE IN INTELLIGENCE UNITS.
