Abstract
THE TEXTBOOK BEGINS WITH THE PREPARATION AND PASSAGE OF LAWS, COVERS CRIME PREVENTION ACTIVITIES, AND MOVES THROUGH APPREHENSION, PROCESSING, AND SUPERVISION IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. IT PRESENTS BOTH PROCEDURES AND ISSUES SURROUNDING EACH PROCESS. THE CHAPTER OVERVIEWS IN THE INSTURCTOR'S MANUAL HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANT CONCEPTS AND TOPICS IN THE CHAPTER. THE OUTLINES MAY EITHER BE GIVEN TO THE STUDENTS AS A STUDY GUIDE OR MAY HELP THE INSTRUCTOR PLAN JUST HOW MANY TOPICS MAY BE COVERED IN A CLASS SESSION.
