The 1998-1999 annual report of the Queensland Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) describes the goals of the CJC and its operating principles and accomplishments.
Abstract
The report indicates goals of the CJC are to reduce the incidence of official misconduct in the public sector, to help the Queensland Police Service achieve its goals and reduce the incidence of police misconduct, to provide a professional and efficient witness protection service, and to promote understanding of criminal justice and public sector integrity issues. The report provides a financial summary of the CJC, as well as information on the organization of the CJC and its corporate governance. Both narrative information and statistical data are provided on the work of the CJC during 1988-1999 that illustrate its responsibilities and progress in achieving its goals.
