Internships in criminal justice education are attractive elements of academic programs.
Abstract
However, there are a variety of objectives associated with internship offerings and a lack of consensus concerning what the experience is supposed to accomplish. Furthermore, some of the assumptions underpinning the goals of internship courses are questionable and require examination. This paper reviews in summary fashion some of these problems and provides a brief discussion of a model for criminal justice internships. (Author abstract)
