Abstract
THE CRIMINAL LAW SYSTEMS OF THESE COUNTRIES ARE NOT MERE COPIES OF THE LEGAL SYSTEMS OF THE FORMER EUROPEAN COLONIAL POWERS, BUT ORIGINAL ADAPTATIONS OF THESE SYSTEMS TO THE UNIQUE PROBLEMS OF THESE DEVELOPING NATIONS. THE BASIS OF CRIMINAL LAW PROBLEMS IN THESE COUNTRIES IS THE CONFLICT BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM AND THE STATE CENTRALISM ESTABLISHED TO CARRY OUT NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. --IN FRENCH
