Abstract
THE BASIC TOOLS OF THE CRIME LABORATORY ARE FIRST OUTLINED. THE AUTHORS THEN EXAMINE EVIDENCE COLLECTION TECHNIQUES AT THE CRIME SCENE, EVIDENCE AND THE MOBILE, CRIME LABORATORY, AND SPECIAL TECHNIQUES IN THE 'FIXED' OR BASE LABORATORY. THE SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES DISCUSSED INCLUDE FORENSIC PHOTOGRAPHY TECHNIQUES, BLOOD AND BODY FLUID ANALYSIS, CASTS AND MOLDS, FINGERPRINTS, DOCUMENT EXAMINATIONS, NARCOTICS, GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY, AND MASS SPECTROMETER TECHNIQUES.
