A POLEMICAL ESSAY IN WHICH THE AUTHOR PROPOSES THAT CRIMINOLOGY BE REDIRECTED TO INCLUDE BOTH THE STUDY OF CONVENTIONAL CRIME AND THE STUDY OF SOCIOPOLITICAL CRIME SUCH AS CORRUPTION, ECONOMIC CRIME, AND AUBSE OF POWER.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR ARGUES THAT CONVENTIONAL CRIME AND UNCONVENTIONAL, SOCIOPOLITICAL CRIME ARE ACTUALLY PARTS OF A CONTINUUM, AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS RELATED MANIFESTATIONS OF UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR. A LIST OF THE BASIC POSITIONS AND PRINCIPLES WHICH WOULD GUIDE THIS NEW FORM OF CRIMINOLOGY IS PROVIDED.
