Abstract
THE CRISS SYSTEM SERVES THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM OF FIVE COUNTIES IN THE STATES OF OREGON AND WASHINGTON. THE EXECUTIVE BOARD, POLICY AND RESOURCE COMMITTEES, PERSONNEL, DATA PROCESSING AUTHORITY, FUNDING, AND OTHER ASPECTS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT ARE DISCUSSED. DESCRIPTIONS OF CURRENT SYSTEMS ARE INCLUDED. AMONG THESE ARE THE PERSONS, VEHICLE, AND CRIME FILES. SYSTEMS SCHEDULED FOR IMPLEMENTATION INCLUDE DEPLOYMENT SYSTEMS AND COURT, PROSECUTION AND JAIL MANAGING SYSTEMS. SYSTEMS STILL IN THE PLANNING STAGES ARE ALSO INDICATED. RELATED ISSUES SUCH AS SECURITY, FUNDING, AND STANDARDIZATION OF PROCEDURES OF THE AGENCIES INVOLVED ARE DISCUSSED AS WELL. APPENDIXES INCLUDE SAMPLE CRIME REPORT AND SECURITY REPORT FORMS.
