EVALUATION OF THE KANSAS CITY PREVENTIVE PATROL SUMMARY REPORT, DISCUSSING VARIOUS FACETS OF THE RESEARCH DESIGN, PROCEDURES, DATA GATHERING, CONTROLS, METHODOLOGY AND FINDINGS.
Abstract
THE AUTHORS EXPRESS HIGHLY NEGATIVE CRITICISM OF THIS REPORT AND CONCLUDE THAT, FROM A STRICT RESEARCH STANDPOINT, THERE ARE SERIOUS REASONS TO QUESTION THE VALIDITY OF MANY ASPECTS OF THE PATROL EXPERIMENT ITSELF. FOR OTHER COMMENTARIES ON THE KANSAS CITY EXPERIMENT SEE NCJ-29970, 29971, 29972, AND 29973; FOR THE SUMMARY AND TECHNICAL REPORTS SEE NCJ-15653 AND 18166. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
