FOR THIS PURPOSE, THE ENTIRE FIELD OF LAW ENFORCEMENT LITERATURE WAS DIVIDED INTO 20 PARTS: COMMON LAW; CRIMINAL LAW; ARREST, SEARCH, AND SEIZURE; EVIDENCE; CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION; CRIMINALISTICS; STAFF INSPECTION, INTELLIGENCE, VICE CONTROL, AND ORGANIZED CRIME; RIOT AND PUBLIC DISORDER CONTROL; POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS; TRAFFIC; ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPORT SERVICES; RECORDS COMMUNICATIONS, AND DATA SYSTEMS; POLICE PERSONNEL AND TRAINING; FIELD OPERATIONS: DELINQUENCY PREVENTION AND CONTROL; CRISIS INTERVENTION; POLICE OPERATIONS, SUPERVISION, AND MANAGEMENT; LAW ENFORCEMENT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY; LAW ENFORCEMENT SYSTEMS PLANNING; AND JAIL ADMINISTRATION.
