Abstract
BRIEFLY DISCUSSED ARE RESTRICTIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PRE-TRIAL RELEASE PROGRAM, A RESEARCH AND FINANCIAL STUDY, THE ROLE OF THE MODEL CITIES, AND THE FUNCTIONS OF THE PRE-TRIAL RELEASE STAFF. THIS PROGRAM HAS SHOWN THAT SUPERVISED PRE-TRIAL RELEASE RESULTS NOT ONLY IN MINIMAL NON-APPEARANCE RATES, BUT ALSO IN FINANCIAL SAVINGS.
