PLAN OF OPERATIONS FOR THE DALLAS ANTI-CRIME PROGRAM DESIGNED TO EFFECT A COMMUNITY-WIDE COORDINATED RESPONSE TO STRANGER-TO-STRANGER CRIME AND BURGLARY.
Abstract
THE DALLAS RESPONSE TO THESE CRIMES IS A TOTAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM APPROACH, DRAWING HEAVILY ON COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, WHICH SEEKS TO PREVENT AND CONTROL, WITH A GOAL OF REDUCTION BY FIVE PER CENT IN ONE YEAR AND BY 20 PER CENT IN FIVE YEARS. AS A RESULT OF EXTENSIVE ANALYSIS OF THE CRIME PROBLEM AND THE CURRENT CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, POTENTIAL PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO ACCOMPLISH THE STATED GOALS AND ARE HERE DESCRIBED. THIS REPORT ALSO PRESENTS A CONCEPTUAL DESIGN FOR THE TECHNICAL PLANNING, DATA MANAGEMENT, IMPLEMENTATION, AND EVALUATION PROCESS NECESSARY TO ESTABLISH THIS IMPACT PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM BUDGET FOR 1973-75 IS INCLUDED.
