THE SELF-TEACHING FORMAT OF THIS TEXT WAS DESIGNED TO ALLOW INDIVIDUALS TO COVER THE MATERIAL AT THEIR OWN PACE. EACH CHAPTER DEALS WITH A SPECIFIC AREA OF INTEREST OR TECHNIQUE, AND INCLUDES A BRIEF WRITTEN LESSON, LISTS OF MAJOR POINTS OF INTEREST, AND SPECIAL SELF-TESTS ON THE CHAPTER SO THAT THE READER MAY ASSESS THE EXTENT OF HIS/HER LEARNING.
